Let’s Learn about Health Equity.
What is Health Equity?
Is it simply allowing everyone to achieve their highest level of health? How do we achieve advocating for these goals when It feels like one more thing added to our plates? Is there more to social determinants of health and what actually affects health? So many questions.
Did you know that you can learn more about health equity all while earing CME credit? What a great way to find out more about a topic and get credit doing so when the AAFP has invested in great courses. I would like to take a moment to direct, and remind everyone about the amazing resources at our disposal with the Everyone Project, as well as some more specific ways to earn CME. Through the Everyone Project, you can learn more ways to advocate, as well as look for resources for our patients based on their zip codes. The Everyone Project has some of the coolest toolkits. If you have not done so already, take a moment to check out the neighborhood navigator, where entering a zip code can help connect one to available community resources to assist patients who have social determinants of health and find available resources, such as: food, housing, transportation, etc to meet their basic needs that affect their health.
